I have no idea why IKEA stopped making them.

FYI, the one I'm selling is three shelves high (they are all adjustable), includes the slide out elbow shelves and a pair of swing shelves for good measure. Astonishingly the swing shelves alone can go for as much as $60 a pop on eBay

Here she is...

Anyone want a Japanese cast iron teapot?  I bought one a few months ago but have found that I don't use it much and instead of having it sit around my house I figured I'd see if anyone here was interested.  In general I think cast iron teapots are a cool item but they are also kind of pricey.  However, for the cost you get something that's pretty much indestructible and cast iron retains heat so that your beverage stays hot for a long time.  Anyone interested send me a PM.

So I just moved and have a lot of furniture to get rid of.  Hopefully someone on here will want this stuff, otherwise I will be forced to go to Craigslist, which I don't want to have to mess with.

I have a matching dresser and 2 drawer nightstand from Ikea (Malm brown-black).  They are only about a year old, but my new place has so much built in closet units that I would never need these anymore.  I am looking for $75 for the set or $60 for the dresser and $30 for the nightstand separately.

I also have an old dresser that needs a coat of paint someone can have for free if they want to come pick it up.  It is not the prettiest, but it is still completely functional.

I also have a desk to get rid of.  It is still in good shape, although it has definitely been used.  It is press board, but damn good quality as it has been through about 5 moves without any real issues.  I'll take $25 for the desk.

Last is a bed.  It's queen size, 4 poster.  No issues with it other than the fact it wouldn't look right in my new place.  If you want, I'll even throw in a box spring (about 5 years old) if you want it.  One corner is torn up somewhat from my cats, but nothing is structurally wrong with the box springs.  I'll take $30 for the bed.

If your interested in any of this stuff, let me know, otherwise I am going to list it on Craigslist next weekend.

what part of town are you in?  I might take the free dresser off your hands...would be a fun project for the kids.

Anybody here interested in seeing Pavement in Kansas City?  I know somebody that has two tickets, an early entry pass and a parking pass looking for $125 OBO.

Also, if anybody has a Nikon DSLR I have one of these that I'd be happy to let go for $150 OBO.  Nikon 55-200mm lens

I'd love to buy it from you, but I'm just too far away to pick it up. Sad

Gone!  I was sweating that one but I pulled a hail mary and made a profit without ever touching the thing.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I am selling my Electra Townie 7D 'flat foot technology' bike. Great ride and super comfy. It's in almost new condition and comes with the Electra water bottle rack, a OSFA bike helmet and the nostalgic Townie bell. $250 and it's yours.

We're selling a really great L-shaped desk with drawers, shelves and a credenza. I posted a pic on facebook last week, but will post a pic when I get home tonight.  It's engineered wood, and the finish is walnut.  I'd like to get $250 out of it, but would go lower for one of y'all.
This desk is in tip-top shape and I'm sad to let it go, but we have to make room for the nugget!

For Sale: 2 Year old

We have here a toddler that needs a new home.  She eats well and eats just about anything.  Is fond of chocolate milk.  Has an attitude about 20 hours of each day (yes some of it is while sleeping).  Adjustments to said attitude are given regularly and sometimes quite effective.  I can explain and demonstrate upon request.  Might miss her 'bubby' but he will be permitted to visit if you'd like.  Has become quite independent as of late, examples include but are not limited to the following: Won't let you hold her hand when walking anywhere, will make you pick her up by not only refusing to walk but laying down on whatever surface she is on, refuses to wear what you pick out and insists on wearing daddy's socks as thigh highs instead, and wants everything anyone else has.  All things are yellow.  the sky is yellow, the cat is yellow, she is yellow.  Will be 3  just before christmas 2009 and we need to make room for what will probably be a carbon remake of her around that time and just do not have the room to keep them both.  I hope to start over and try to fix issues I had with the last one with the new one.

asking $0 Will deliver for free and include a summer's lawnmowing in the deal.

no returns.

*sigh* this child is going to try to kill me in my sleep.  I feel it.  but I love her.

It should be noted that this post is still one of my favorite posts of all time.

thanks. I wish I could say the update is different but its not. Much worse. Now it has serious opinions and makes it known before anyone has a chance to make an offer. We have fixed a lot of these things with the new one and it is a boy so automatically has been easier. He is not for sale but could be borrowed any Saturday night and returned the following evening. When Andrea was babysitting the 2 girls to go along with the 2 boys, I found the girls WAY easier to watch than the boys.  I thought the common thinking was that boys are harder until teenage status, and girls were harder from the early teens on.  Ethan and Alex fight a lot more now than they used to, but otherwise they are getting a lot easier to deal with now that they are 11 and 9 than they were before.  I can even think about other things when they are around, which is something I never used to be able to do.

I think you are just the exception that proves the rule.
