Just because I'll get a kick out of this showing up in the same thread as Zigmat, the Libertines, and Ra Ra Riot ...

1. Daryl Hall & John Oates @ The Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, PA: 3/19/07

I've been a fan since 4th grade and this was my sixth time seeing them. As always, an excellent show. What made it one of the best H&O shows ever, though, was this group of about 15 frat boys standing several rows behind us. While they didn't know the older stuff (the stuff from the 70's, which is my H&O decade of choice), they were shouting out, "Private Eyes!", "No Can Do!", etc. And when they played "You Make My Dreams Come True," all 15 of them started dancing and shaking their money makers like only White frat boys can. It was a riot.

When the band first left the stage, the frat boys started chanting, "Hall and Oates! Hall and Oates!", and stomping until they had the whole arena doing it with them. The band actually did two encores, and I know the second one was because of those frat boys chanting and yelling for "Private Eyes" and "Kiss on My List" (which is what they played for the encore).

The kicker to all of this is that they knew all the words to the songs.

Heh-heh-heh. Big ol' frat boys w/ their Abercrombie oxfords and trucker caps singing and dancing to Hall & Oates. That's a visual I won't soon forget.  :lol

That's hilarious.  My best friend and I saw them about 2 years ago & had a similar thing happen.  Mostly 40 and 50-year olds, but right in front of us were 3 guys in their mid-late 20's just dancing and singing the entire time.  They made the show even more fun!

When I was down in Austin a few months back, he was the talk of the town, there.  Both his records are good.  Sort of a Paul Simon/Daniel Johnston thing going on.

NOTE:The Fratellis are as good as hyped. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time at their show and didn't realize that I knew half of their catalogue just from listening to woxy. Definitely see them if given the chance...
