24 Concerts for 2007

I'm telling you, Dan, you're on track for 50 shows. At this rate, you really should go for it.

Ugh. Everytime I go to another show I think of you and this comment.

Here's the status: I have one more show (Nov 30) that I have a ticket for, and that's it at the moment. But I might go see a friend's band on Friday. So that'd be 44. I'm sure I could find six shows between now and the end of the year, but I'm not sure how much I want to do that. Sigh.

Are you just getting burned out?  My 50th is this coming Saturday, and I'm tempted to not go just so I don't hit the mark.

Heh. I hear ya. Yeah, I'm a little burned out with the concept of it. I mean, when I find a great concert (like last night when CYHSY were really 'on') then I'm standing there like "this is great! I love this. How can I ever think to myself that I wouldn't want to do this more?" But then I'm all tired the next morning. And poor. And I'm craving the idea of a quiet night in my apartment. And I'm thinking "If a band plays and I miss it, it's not like its the end of the world."

So yeah, I guess I'm a little burned out. And I'm torn between the two extremes.

Plus, I've been averaging about 28 or so shows per year for the past few years, so I never imagined I'd almost double it in one 12 months span. It's not like it's a goal or anything.

I hear you Dan about being torn about going to shows. Between rude people, cigarette smoke and being tired the next day (and having to wear multiple layers in winter), sometimes the idea of just staying home sounds nicer.
