I didn't realise it was supposed to be a yearly thing, just a fun little deal.

I'm down with the yearly thing. In fact, I'm looking forward to it. But I also assumed it wouldn't be until September/October.
Charity? Hell anything that has to do with music is a good start just b/c it's logical. But any charity is probably going to be good for me.

I know other suggestions were made after the first Torturethon, but I had thrown this one into the mix as well ...
Strummerville
Also, I respectfully challenge Trixi to take on "Umbrella" by Rhiannon this year.

I've never even heard of the band, much less the song. Good luck. That song sucks.

I think I'm going to go for this well known ditty by the legendary Tommy Seebach. Denmark's finest, without a doubt.
Enjoy, brave warriors.

You know what? I was planning on maybe not doing it this year. But I'll take Creed.
Scott Stap is an ass, but I always thought Creed took way too much crap for singing the same sort of anthemic pseudo-grunge everyone else was doing. And they weren't that bad at it.
In fact, I've always thought "Arms Wide Open" was a decent song. Give me that over "Lightning Crashes" any day.

Aren't those by the same band, anyway?
Yeah, Scott Stapp is an ass, and his bandmates got tarred by the same brush. To the point that when they kicked him out of the band and changed the name, everyone still thought they sucked.
