I kid you not, that's what the new Bond movie is going to be called.

Why not just go with "James Bond and the Crock of Shit Title"?

Producer Michael Wilson said the film would have "twice as much action" as 2006's Casino Royale.

So, not very much at all then.

These fuckers are screwing with the things I hold most dear.

That's pretty much what I thought when I read the news this afternoon. If I were ever to create a quiz called "Bond Film or Emo Album?", this would be question #1.

Apparently it's a legitimate Ian Fleming Bond short story?

I thought The Who did one more rock opera that I didn't know about and had already filmed it with Terry Gilliam. Smiley

I don't think it's that bad of a title... it adds a little mystery, unlike something like 'License To Kill' which, besides being a bad Bond film, has no imagination.

I read this on wwtdd today and chuckled, so I had to share with the rest of the board.

That really sounds like words were just chosen at random, whether they went together or not, and fuck it I’m going home.  It could have been Quantum of Solace, or Black Sock of Unstoppable, or Pigtown of Passion.

Was this the title they decided NOT to use for the latest Indiana Jones flick? Or maybe it was left-over from Lucas' short list of STAR WARS names?

Seriously...?:

"Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the highly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure Quantum of Solace, announced today that multi-Grammy Award-winning and platinum selling recording artists Jack White of the rock band The White Stripes, and Alicia Keys, have recorded the theme song for the film, which will be released worldwide this November.

Their song, written and produced by Jack White, and titled "Another Way to Die," will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history. In addition to writing the song, Jack White is also featured as the drummer on this track."

The "Quantum of Solace" title appears more suited to a Morrissey song....

Beware !
I bear more grudges
Than lonely high court judges
When you sleep
I will creep
Into your evil palace
Like a quantum of solace

I am reckless feckless but got a big gun...

"Another Way To Die" - Alicia Keys and Jack White

At least it sounds as odd as Quantum of Solace.

It's also amazing how it single handedly makes "You Know My Name" from Casino Royale look like a work of genius.
