Just came across this 2006 ranking of Bond Films by Entertainment Weekly. I hadn't seen it before, so I thought I'd share it. While I agree with the #1, I'm not sure about the placement of the others. Have to think on it a bit.

21. World Is Not Enough
20. Licence to Kill
19. Octopussy
18. Man with the Golden Gun
17. Living Daylights
16. A View to a Kill
15. Tomorrow Never Dies
14. Moonraker
13. Die Another Day
12. Diamonds Are Forever
11. For Your Eyes Only
10. Spy Who Loved Me
09. From Russia with Love
08. GoldenEye
07. Dr. No
06. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
05. Casino Royale (2006)
04. Thunderball
03. Live and Let Die
02. You Only Live Twice
01. Goldfinger

When I was in grad school, a friend and I would watch Bond movies on the weekends. I honestly don't remember the plots to any of them. I did finally get why everyone made such a fuss over Connery, though.  Wink

I only need one... You Only Live Twice. It had the subtleness of the early Bond films until the middle of the film when it switches over to set the precedent for every extravagant Bond film since with the volcano lair, ninjas, Little Nellie, Blofeld/SPECTRE, a kick ass theme song, etc.

It will always be my favorite.

As a young poncho... just saying "Octopussy" and getting away with it was reason enough for that sad movie to top my list.

I really liked The World Is Not Enough. I'm not saying it's the best or anything, but I don't think it's deserves to be ranked last!

Sheesh. No love for Dr. Christmas Jones. Humph.
