No so much of a review as a synopsis.  I'm glad you like it though.  My son and I loved it.

From everything I've heard, Ledger's portrayal of The Joker is one of the singlemost disturbing things ever.  Even I know better than to expose my son to that.

In my opinion, Hellboy is very kid friendly if your kid is into magic and monsters.  A couple of red shirts get eaten alive early in the film, but there's no actual gore or blood.  I think Hellboy gets a nosebleed at one point and that's about it for blood.  It's all very fantastical and cartoonish. A big red demon punching bad guys and monsters with his "Fist of Doom" is one thing.  Watching The Joker torture, dismember and set people on fire is another.

just saw The Dark Knight and it was pretty good, but HL wasn't as fudged up as i would have liked.

damn good, though.  and yeah, he's nutty enough 2 scare a kid.  if the movie had been rated R.....

ok, not as $$$ raked in, but a R-rated DVD version would have been sweet.  something.  too bad Ledger will never be able to reprise the roll.

will be checking Hellboy 2 out this weekend when ppl are watching Dark Knight.

and BE SURE to check out the trailers for Watchmen and the next Terminator movie when u see DK.  they are already out there online, but seeing them on a big screen is a treat.  can't wait 4 both.
