Plus, she seems like she could do evil really easily. It probably didn't take much thought or expend much energy.

My thought was more "what the hell is a movie like
Death Race
doing even existing?"
Didn't they make a movie called Death Race 2000 in the 70s or something like that?

Does the DVD of "Groundhog Day" come with a second disc of "Groundhog Day"?

Indeed they did Dan
, in fact the alternate title to the new "death race" is "death race 3000".
Joan Allen can do sinister extremely well and she's still pretty hot.

I thought she was good in the Bourne movies.
She's a mere 52 - so be careful what you're calling old.

Two movie genres that I will love regardless of quality:
1) Road movies
2) Heist movies

After significant analysis and thought about which actor could do justice as the next villain if they do another Batman movie -- someone who could really tap into someplace dark and be psychologically terrifying -- I believe I'm going to have to go with Ryan Gosling.
But I'm not sure yet which villain I'd want him to be.

Ever since I saw "Boogie Nights", I could never take Don Cheadle seriously. That is until I saw "Talk To Me".

Did you happen to see him in
Out of Sight
? There's something about that performance that tells me he could do it.
I'm basically thinking about actors not normally on the radar screen. Kind of like what Butter said about Heath Ledger and not knowing Heath had the Joker in him. He really tapped into something dark. Who else could do that and surprise the hell out of everyone (instead of making it cartoonish like Jim Carrey, Jack Nicholson, etc.)?
After seeing
Half Nelson
and
Lars & the Real Girl
, Ryan Gosling is definitely at the top of the list for me. Have been trying to come up with a female option, too, but am finding it hard to think of anyone.

There was
Hotel Rwanda
too. He's certainly capable of depth, no doubt about it.
I'd like to see Jack Black in a role like that. He's not one you think of as serious but just look at
Be Kind, Rewind
yeah, that character was goofy but it was more of a seriously mental goofy and not the normal in your face, over the top goofy that JB is known for.
