WOW. Mark-Paul Gosselaar has an unfortunate new hairdo in the ads for his new series, "Raising the Bar," on TNT. I almost didn't recognize him.

Sons of Anarchy was a bit disappointing, but I did make two observations about Katey Sagal (the former Peg Bundy):

1) She is 100% the best thing about this show. She plays one nasty bitch, and does it well. Very pleasantly surprised by her in this role.

2) At 54, she's still goddamned hot.

Otherwise, the script was clunky, the story a bit borrowed, and the characters way too aesthetically pleasing considering the premise.

Oh, and Sprague Grayden is mentioned in the cast credits, but I can't recall seeing her at all.

Tony Romo is trying to be the next Peyton Manning of the commercial world.  It's just not working.  Who wants twice as much Tony Romo anyway?

Come On Get Happy! "Partridge Family" to Return

LOS ANGELES - "The Partridge Family" is headed for a return to the small screen.

NBC has picked up a contemporary single-camera take on the classic ABC sitcom.

The show's writer, Jeff Rake, is a fan of the 1970s series who plans to "turn the premise on its head."

"In the original, the kids actually recruited their mom to front the band, which I can't see happening in any family on this planet," he said.

"The new version will reflect what seems to me to be the more realistic family band scenario these days: a struggling, sort of well-meaning mom pimping her kids in order to create a wholesome-slash-sexy cash cow."

Friday Night Lights returns for a 3rd season tonight.

Unfortunately, it is only on a channel Direct TV subscribers have.

Thank God for torrent sites.

But this will kill the audience for when NBC "officially" airs the show in January.

I don't know anyone with Direct TV, otherwise I'd be camping at their house. 

And I totally agree, Nate.  This show, the love of my life, is DOOMED.

Yay!  I almost forgot.  I have DirecTV, and I've had this season pass set up for ages.  Tonight my DVR is going to be very, very busy.  (Yes, I watch too much TV.)

Hey! When did they bring back "Unsolved Mysteries?" Awesome! Although Dennis Farina is no Robert Stack. And the music is way less spooky and the set-up more like "America's Most Wanted."

Yeah, now that I've watched a few minutes of it, the show is nothing without Robert Stack's signature voiceover.

What the hell have they done to Best Week Ever?  I like Paul F. Tompkins but doing away with all other commentators (other than the sizzler and a few other guest spots) couldn't possibly have seemed like a good idea to anyone.

Wow. I had no idea they had done this. I got tired of BWE and switched over to The Soup. Joel McHale is all the commentator that I need.

This past week was the first episode.  It just happened out of the blue so I'm hoping it's just some kind of a joke but I doubt it.

We watch both, even though they both cover the same ground, but we may not for much longer if BWE doesn't go back to what it was.  Joel is mucho funny-o, no doubt about that, but so is Christian Finnegan, Frangela and the others who used to be on BWE.  But like I said, if those people are gone we'll only watch The Soup as well.

My guess? They can't afford to pay all those people. They can, however, afford get rid of The Sizzler. It's the one part of BWE I find incredibly unfunny.

I agree, I've long thought they should do away with the Sizzler and expand the "In Case you Missed It" segment because they are far more amusing.
