This is too funny. I've started to get this from strangers, too. I keep some perplexed looks when I say I'm listening to Ra Ra Riot. This has that beat, though.

But imagine John for a second. Catching your wife involved with the guy you started the band with, and then a few months later, the pain of a divorce still fresh, watching her blow kisses to her new boyfriend. Soul.  Crushing.

Oh please. What an over-simplification! John Phillips was far from an innocent angel in his relationship with Michelle. He was one cruel S.O.B. back then. I don't condone adultery; however, in this case, some might say turnabout was fair play.

The person who really got the shitty end of the stick with the brief Denny and Michelle hook-up, imho, was Cass. Michelle knew Cass was in love with Denny and betrayed Cass, her best friend, who had given her nothing but unconditional love and support.

It was the time of "free love," I realize, but still. Why do some women do that to each other?

I'm sure John is guilty of stuff.  From my perspective, instead of giving us Rumours, he created People Like Us, which probably was his worst sin upon mankind.
