It's true! Check out the stats at the end of this game of "how many teams can you name in 3 minutes?"

http://www.jetpunk.com/quizzes/name-major-league-teams.php

I got all 30, but I remembered my last one with 4 seconds to go.

I kept trying to give the DC team another name, and for some reason, they didn't accept the Expos either. I missed 9 other teams - 5 of which are located in states that border the Pacific Ocean. I could come up with the cities, but only the NFL or NHL team names.

The Expos became the Washington Nationals in 2004, which is why they weren't included.

I got all but five or six. I know I missed the Rockies and Braves, which makes me feel like an idiot, and I couldn't for the life of me remember KC's team name. Disappointing. With another minute I'd have probably gotten them all.

That's why I kept trying to use it for the name of Washington's team, since my other choices weren't working.

I had the same problem.  I kept trying to put in Senators.  I haven't paid attention to baseball in a long time.

What's pretty sad is that I too, almost forgot the Nationals.  I had the rest of the teams with over a minute left.  And I knew the team I was missing was in the NL East.  And I still just barely remembered in time with like 5 seconds left.

The reason this is sad is because the Nationals are ostensibly my hometeam.  Problem is, most people I know in Richmond consider the Braves their hometeam.  And most people I know from the DC area are either O's fans or are so fed up with Angelos they gave up on baseball.  So the Nationals have a brand new stadium, but still no market.

I do root for the Nationals...when I remember to.  I guess that about encapsulates their sorry situation.

That site is a lot of fun and I messed around with a lot of their other quizes. Most of the time I knew what they were asking but needed a bit more than the minutes allowed. Like on the "how many countries can you name" game they give you 5 minutes to type out as many as possible. There's 195 total... so it's not like they expect you to name them all, but I would sometimes get caught up on the spelling of azerbaijan or something silly like that. And since... urgh. Well, you get the idea.

See, I knew there was a team in DC, and they used to be the Expos, but for the life of me I couldn't come up with their name. I spent so much time trying to remember, I neglected the west coast.

I like the city skyline quizzes.

Strangely, this title now goes to the KC Royals. The Reds have moved up considerably, landing a solid 80%.
