“Dreams are like low-budget British films in that they're generally badly plotted, packed with gratuitous sex and violence, and very sloppily edited. Plus, on average, one person sees them.”

5) Wait...she's in one of my favorite movies ("Chronicles of Riddick") and I didn't even get that? Gaaah! I'm slipping.  ME = EPIC FAIL.

I think the fact that "Chronicles of Riddick" is one of your favorite movies is the real epic fail here.

I guess this is kind of related in the sense.  Thought it should be posted here.

Quote
GIRL, YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE: Negotiations are underway to bring in Brett Ratner as director of the proposed Milli Vanilli movie for Universal. The move would reunite Ratner and his Rush Hour cohort, writerJeff Nathanson, who penned the screenplay for the film, which is being produced by frequent Steven Spielberg collaborator Kathleen Kennedy with executive producer and Fab Morvan manager Kim Marlowe. Man, there are so many "proposed" movies that never get made. I can't see a Milli Vanilli movie ever getting made. Maybe something for VH1, but a theatrical release? Doubtful. And Brett Ratner isn't exactly a favorite of mine, but even he shouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!!
Though I'm more of a PITCH BLACK fan, The Greg is IN LOVE with CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK. I'm about 99% sure that he bought our home entertainment sound system just to make the movie more badass whenever he watches it (about once a month).

I love Pitch Black, too, although I've only seen it twice.

I think The Greg and I would get along swimmingly if we went to the movies together.

But speaking of Chronicles of Riddick... think about this one for a moment: how old is Kyra? I mean, really. She's supposedly 12 in PB, right? And CoR takes place 5 years later, right? So that means she's 17, right? I mean, am I totally off here? I don't think I can be b/c I think they state all those facts.
So this begs the questions:
Do you REALLY think she's 17 in the movie?
Do you REALLY believe that Riddick falls in love with her when she's 12?
Or do you think he didn't, but then when he meets her again he does?
If so, how old is Riddick? He's a full grown dude in PB... with a history. At the YOUNGEST he's maybe 22 or 24. Probably older. And that means he's 27-29 when he's falling for 17 year old Kyra?

Doesn't that creep anyone out other than me?!?!?

1. I think she's supposed to be 17 but they cast someone a little too old.
2. I don't think Riddick was in love with her when she was 12. I think he had romantic feelings for her when he met her as an older Kyra.
3. I'm not creeped out by this "romance" as much as I'm creeped out by the Necromongers.

The End.

Alexa Davalos was 22 when that film came out... and not shockingly the difference between a 17 yr old and a 22 yr old is quite staggering. Still... if we can pretend that Kyra was supposed to be 22, then I'd say that she was perfect. Hot and badass. What else can you want?

The Necromongers creep you out? Wimp!

Of course. I was being facetious. Too damn many remakes these days...

Meh, I don't think it's much better (Russell Brand was funny at first, but he's fallen into the "holy shit he's annoying" category for me). Does Phoebe Cates need the work? I could get behind then, I guess.
