New trailer was rolled out for it today, and it looks amazing.

Up to 6 players (drums, guitar, bass, and up to 3 vocalists for harmonies).

The Beatles: Rock Band site with trailer.

Also coming soon is Lego Rock Band.

Jesus H that is fucking sweet (Beatles, not Lego).  Holy God that opening sequence was sick.  I have a hard time believing I'll be getting the full set, but I'd at least like to get it to play the guitar parts.

I don't see any point in the Lego one.

The game will come with, I believe, 45 songs... then you can purchase downloadable content later on.

The first download will be the entirety of Abbey Road on the same day the game launches.

I bought this last week but have been to busy to play it.  I did take it out of the wrapper though.  So for now I give it a thumbs up for ease of unwrapping.

I can't even imagine how you would play the more psychadelic stuff in the game.

Like what? Most of the psychadelic songs are middle of the road difficult, at best, as far as the overall soundtrack goes.

The harder songs actually come from the later years in the catalog.

That's the stuff I'm talking about.  Like Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Peppers, etc.

It would be really cool if the game came with a Sitar.

Well, the sitar would probably only apply to "Within You Without You", as I can't think of another song in the game that uses it.

Outside of that though, I was surprised at how much I like the songs in the game that I didn't know well, like "Hey Bulldog" and "Boys".

Yeah, it looks like a blast.

I'm saving my money for DJ Hero though.

I think there are songs in which you're playing a tabla or some other Indian instrument.  I would say that the RB/GH guitar controller approximates those about as well as it does a regular guitar.  I mean seriously, it really has little in common with playing an actual guitar, or any other instrument.

Why not come out with "Sitar Hero"?
