J and I were trying to decide who the six candidates were and were coming up short on a few names.  We know for sure it's one of the Shepards (I'm betting it was Christian rather than Jack), one of the Quons, Sawyer and Hurley.  But who are the other two?

Locke and Sayid were the other two on the list, and even though Jacob touched Kate as well, she's not on the list.

But she said there were six LEFT.  Locke was scratched off several episodes ago.  So he cannot be one of those six.  I don't remember seeing Sayid's name either.

Julie made that her facebook status almost immediately.  We laughed really hard about that.

On a side note...

6 Remaining Candidates to replace The Greg (if necessary):

Prince
Melvil Poupaud
Kristen Bell
John Arne Riise
Naveen Andrews or Oded Fehr if Jacob is busy with Naveen
Wall-E

Please let me know ASAP when I can start spying on them.

The two characters with the least amount of ties to life off the island are Kate and Sawyer. Neither has any family left, do they? It's probably far-fetched, but wouldn't it be interesting if the "keepers of the island" (or whatever Jacob and smokie are) turn out to be Kate and Sawyer at the end?

Kind of a boring episode this week, except for the return of Rebecca Mader (rowr).

Even the last 5 minutes were a letdown... "We're not taking the plane... we're taking the sub!". duh-duh-DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!

The only thing I thought would be a great idea for next year was:

From the production team who brought you "Jake and the Fatman".

I thought it was awesome.
Interesting that so far, Sawyer is the one off the island who's not in a better life.

Also barely noticed it, but holy crap Miles' dad is alive!!!  Wha happen?

That should have been a two-hour special.  I forgot how much I missed the flashback style of storytelling on the show until last night.  Screw this flash-sideways crap, I want more flashbacks.  I think they did a great job of telling us a lot without telling us exactly what's going on.
