Conan returns to late night in November

Not sure what to make of this.

I don't really like that idea.  Comedy Central would have been better.  Oh well.  I'll watch it.

The line between cable and network TV was already almost non-existent.  This just blurs it that much more.  Being on TBS vs. a network, you only reach marginally fewer homes.  I don't see the issue.  Plus, TBS is likely to let him get away with MURDER.

Yeah, he can get away with more, but his budget is likely to be next to nothing too.  Not sure what level of guests he'll be able to draw either.  I mean, Lopez is stuck with the likes of Jennifer Love Hewitt and her vajazzled va-jayjay.  Of course Coco is in a completely different league, but is that enough?  Or is there dough involved?

Lopez is the person with the most to gain here, beyond all explanation he's getting decent ratings as it is, with Conan as his lead in they could only improve.

This is awesome.  I hope the Conan\Lopez combo kills Leno in the ratings.

George Lopez is right up there with The Family Circus and malaria in the long list of things that I will never find funny.

Like the move, but now he's going up against Stewart the first half-hour, and then Letterman/Leno the next half.

I'm just going to DVR it anyways, so he's not competing against anything on my television.

Then you've never seen the first half of his comedy show "Why You Crying?"  Pretty funny stuff.

I've never seen a second of his TBS show, but he has his moments.

No shit.  Oh my god, that was sooo funny.  I was laughing so hard that I was crying.

His late show is pretty run of the mill.  I do like how he relates to his guests, oh, and the Cholo makeovers.

Well, maybe I'll check that out.  I just don't like his "I can be racist because I'm not white" shtick.

Yeah, that gets old... but that show was almost all about his childhood and family get-togethers and stuff like that.  Hit home good for us especially one night.

I can see how he could be funny if the subject matter were not offensive but most of the time it is, especially when your wife and inlaws are mexican.
