I heard this very sad news mid-morning. The guy was in many respects one of the most superfly MC's and decent people in the Hip Hop scene. "One of the best, yet". Really big loss.

I turned on MTV this morning and was shocked to find that they were actually playing videos.  In what might be the first classy thing that station has done since...well, I don't know when, they played a couple of Gang Starr videos and gave Guru's death some coverage.

On a sad note, his producer, that Solar guy sounds like an absolute douchebag.  I don't know the first thing about him outside of what I've read recently, but he sounds a bit like a vulture.
