I agree with you. I think Bama is probably the second-best team in the country, but Oklahoma State should be playing in the title game. They played a better schedule and won their conference. More important, Bama had its chance, at home, and came up short. No second bite at the apple in my world.

Of course, in an ideal world, the proper finish to this season is to simply declare LSU the national champion right now and let the rest of the undeservings battle it out for No. 2. Even if they lose the title game, the Tigers' resume far outstrips every other team in major college football.

While I hate LSU with a firey hot passion, and 'Bama even more, your point is pretty good, and I would support this.
