“I wept because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet. And Christ, all that guy could talk about was having no feet. He'd be, like, "Return of the King? No, I haven't seen that movie ... because I have no feet!" Or "thanks for the pie but I didn't really enjoy it, what with the having no feet and all." So I reminded him that there were men with no legs. That shut him up. Plus, then I found my shoes under the bed, so everything worked out great.”

it's such a clever show.

Translation- it's going to be cancelled because people are too stupid to understand/appreciate it.
Especially if it's on FX
Apparently it only lasted two seasons in Australia. So, maybe it's just meant to have a short run. Hope it lasts as long in the US. I could do without the sister character. But, everything else was fantastic. Like CR, I looooooooooved that he turned around twice before sitting on the sofa. Everyone should witness Ozzie's sitting down routine at least once. He's amazingly picky about getting his spot JUST right.

No, you're thinking of that cop show with Donal Logue in it.  I didn't watch that because I'm tired of cop shows, not because I'm too stupid to understand or appreciate it.

Come up with something different and I'll watch... like a guy who is friends with a dog who is played by a guy in a dog suit.

Count me among those who enjoyed it, although at times the humor was a little too obviously gross-out or sexual... but I guess you are going to get that on FX who fancy themselves "Spike" for intellectuals.  I thought Elijah Wood did a fantastic job, and will continue to watch.

It wasn't a cop show, it was a former-cop-turned-private-investigator-who-works-both-sides-of-the-law show.  Totally unique...totally.

...totally

Terriers didn't have a cop show vibe to it at all to me, and I know, because I watch a Law & Order and a CSI, and it wasn't like those, at least not to me.

At any rate, I hope I'm wrong and this show lasts, but I'm basically to the point where I'm sick of the shows I like getting canned

ALPHAS might have potential. So very happy to see Mahershalalhashbaz Ali is going to be on TV again (in a show that kind of reminds of THE 4400 without the alien part), mostly because it cracks me up to see his name on the TIVO. That has to be the longest first name ever typed out for TV credits.

Mel Ott...he is not.

And since his last name is just three letters, it makes it even more pronounced.

I quite like Alphas but I wish they'd scale back the intrusive music

Alphas gets an "ok" from us for now.

They cancelled Stargate: Universe for it... so that's a big mental block in my book.  SGU was actually a good show.  A lot less cheesy than the normal Stargate shows and it had a strong storyline with interesting characters.  Seasons 1B and 2A/B were way, way, way, way better than Season 1A.  I'm still not sure why SciFi (I refuse the see-fee) does this half season crap, but there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.

Enjoying Alphas so far. I like that they're not afraid of using big words. My favorite character so far is Gary.

The chick in Lifetime's new cop show "Against the Wall" is a new Meg Ryan to make my pants tight but the show - even though I also like the views of Chi-town - is just a bunch of bickering women a-la Cagney & fucking Lacey. Shame
