Nothing quite like watching a match on a rainy day in February. Good stuff. The Referee and the Linesmen were wankers.
On another note, that Orient result was superb, Butter. Always nice to see the Gooners made to look silly.

That's why you watch the FA Cup. That Orient goal was just a lightning bolt out of nowhere, and was really well taken. Not a fluke deflection goal or anything like that, so Orient really deserved the result. And to see all of their fans so happy after a DRAW was really something. It was a nice game for a fan of the lower leagues.

6. 2/19 - Man U. beats Crawley Town in FA Cup 5th round
7. 2/20 - Leyton Orient draws Arsenal in FA Cup 5th round
8. 3/11 - Clemson v. Boston College - ACC Quarterfinals
9. 3/12 - Clemson v. North Carolina - ACC Semifinals
10. 3/12 - Dayton v. St. Joseph's - A10 Semifinals
11. 3/13 - Dayton v. Richmond - A10 Final
12. 3/13 - Ohio State v. Penn State - Big Ten Final
These next 2 I witnessed live, and not via TV! (Yow!)
13. 3/15 - UNC-Asheville v. Arkansas-Little Rock - NCAA First Round, UD Arena - UNCA 82-78 (OT)
The guy behind us told his wife that UALR stood for "Alabama-Little Rock" about 5 times before the game started. Andrea did well to bite her tongue. Asheville was behind the entire game, then they hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to tie the game and send it to OT, where they eventually won. Great game! Too bad they will move on to be slaughtered by Pitt.
14. 3/15 - Clemson v. UAB - NCAA First Round, UD Arena - Clemson 70-52
There were probably something like 500-750, maybe even close to 1000 Clemson fans in attendance, compared to 200-300 UAB fans. Orange was scattered throughout the arena. We met fellow fans from Columbus and Louisville who made the trek over for the game. Clemson dominated from the outset, going up 25-7 early and not looking back. We moved down to the 15th row or something late in the game as the arena emptied out, and that was pretty fun. We were in our car at 12:00 midnight on the dot following the game, and were in our driveway at 12:12. Not bad for usually congested arena traffic... we have the combination of the late start and the game not being close to thank for the arena being 90% empty by the time we left.

1) 4/3 Brewers @ Reds (L12-3)
Not a good start to the season for the Brewers but I expect things to get better. The Reds look like the real deal!

Games seen in-person (Away - Home)
1. 1/24 - Cleveland Cavaliers 101 -103 New Jersey Nets
2. 3/11 - Los Angeles Clippers 98 - 102 New Jersey Nets (OT)
3. 4/2 - MK Dons 2 - 3 Southampton Saints
4. 4/11 - Tampa Bay Rays 12 - 4 Boston Red Sox
Pros:
First time in Fenway.
My friends were on the videoboard not once but twice.
Beautiful place.
Wonderful energy and excitement.
Cons:
DiceK got shelled early and often, so the energy was sucked out of the game quickly.
We were as far away from the action as possible to still be actually in the park.
I was sick.

21. VCU v. Butler - NCAA Final 4
22. Butler v. UConn - NCAA Final
23. Reds v. Brewers - Opening Day
24, 25. Reds v. Brewers - Games 2 & 3
26. Reds @ D'Backs - 4/9
27. In PERSON (yow!) - Reds v. Pirates - Pirates win 6-1
The most entertaining thing about this was the seats we had. Andrea was able to get 2 half price Club level seats through her work for this. At regularly $85, we got a bargain. Up until last week, I thought we were just getting seats to the game and access to a private area. But as it turns out, that private area included all you can eat food and drink (sans alcohol).
Seeing as the weather was iffy up until gametime, we decided to get there early so we could eat a bunch and still cash in the rain check if it came to that. As it turned out, it rained for about 25 minutes during the game, but not enough to stop the game. Which the Reds lost in lackluster fashion, 6-1, with the only run coming on a solo 9th inning home run.
But the real star of the show was the food. Here is what we ate between us. Hey, it was free, so we felt like we better make the most of it. And most of it was very very good. We sampled probably 85% of what they had to offer, so this is a pretty comprehensive list.
1 Smoked Sausage with peppers and onions
1 Cheeseburger
1 Fruit salad with Caramel sauce and granola
1 "Great American" salad with blue cheese and toasted walnuts
1 bowl of Jambalaya
2 small containers of nachos with cheese and salsa
5-6 pieces of Larosa's pepperoni pizza
2 soft pretzel-type mini-breadsticks
3 dessert cinnamon mini-breadsticks
3 Montgomery Inn pulled pork BBQ sandwiches
2 small containers of Montgomery Inn chips
2 half Italian panini sandwiches
1 ice cream sandwich
1 Orange ice cream Push-Up
1 small container of peanuts (in shell)
1 coffee
too many to count Diet Cokes
2 cups of ice water
It was the pinnacle of my achievement as a human being to be there and be able to partake in the gluttony. I am proud to be an American.

Butter - that feast you two consumed is draw-droppingly impressive.

5. 4/19 - Houston Astros 6 - 1 New York Mets
The Mets are terrible. I imagine I will be going to a number of their games this year considering
how cheap tickets are these days
