Any new shows that you folks are looking forward to watching this Fall?

Person of Interest looks interesting.  Mostly because of Michael Emerson.

I happened to notice it was on there today and watched it.  It was better than I thought it would be, but from the previews, I was expecting it to be pants.  I'll give it another shot, but like you I found it extremely uneven.  Zooey Deschanel was ok, but the character was just so over the top it was annoying at times.  I do have to say I LOVED the concept of the douchebag jar.  That was pure genius.  But overall it was extremely in the middle.  Some good parts, lots of bad parts.

Terra Nova seems promising, but I'm withholding final judgement until I see the premiere.

Once upon a time looks good.

If anyone has the Sundance channel, I caught a really interesting show called "Quirky" the other night.  It is a reality show that follows the people who run quirky.com.  They basically take ideas people submit and make products out of them (the people people who came up with the idea taking a part of the profits).  It documents the whole process from the idea getting submitted, drawing up exactly what the idea is going to be, to making prototypes and actually getting the product made.   For example a woman submitted an all in one strainer/bowl with just the idea.  They came up with 3 ideas that she didn't like so they went back and did like 50 more ideas.  They finally decided on one, made a prototype of it from an old bowl just to show the concept.  They then made a real prototype with a 3D printer and then had a guy make a real one from metal.  It's just interesting to see them go through the process of taking just an unformed idea and getting ti to be a complete product that they can sell.

We like Quirky too, even if the woman with her bloody salad strainer was a total bitch!

Looking forward to seeing "The Playboy Club" and "Pan Am" as both are set in the 60's. Determined not to get too attached to anything as I've learned that if it's any damned good the network will probably cancel it within weeks, plus I have too much to watch on Netflix plus the less we watch on regular TV the less we're likely to keep our cable box/DVR in the mid/long term

Three words... American Horror Story.

I'll submit to getting the bejeeebus scared out of me in my own home vs. a theater.

About nothing.  I am sure we'll probably give a few sitcoms a try, but there's not much I can say I'm looking forward to.

Any new shows that you folks are looking forward to watching this Fall?

Is that the one with Zooey?

A) I don't watch TV shows (much)
B) I'm still upset with her treatment of Joseph-Gordon Leavitt (I mean...me) so I don't think I can handle watching that.
C) I'm still upset at her decision to go with Ben Gibbard over me. I mean - really? Did you have to go with my arch-nemesis? Really? There's no one else in the entire WORLD that's not out there?

Sigh. She is dead to me.

But thanks for the heads up. I have Time Warner anyhow.

Oh, Dan. She'd be easy to snag on this show. So, you can pretend that you'd have a chance to bone her.

I thought more people on here would be goofy for RINGER.

I would be, but I don't get the CW, so I'm not sure if I'll actually get to watch it.

Dan - I have TW too and it was on there for me.

I am geeked about Ringer.  First, it's SMG who I really like.  And the concept looks like it could be really interesting.  On the other hand, the concept also looks like it could be REALLY bad if done wrong.
