It deserves its own thread.
Yay! Season 3 has started. It doesn't look like they are going to slow down the speed of the show, which is one of the things I love about it. The other, of course, is a shirtless Damon.

I still don't get the cursed CW, so I hope this season they put the videos online sooner. Last year, it wasn't until Tuesday that they would show up.
However, shirtless Damon is worth the wait! And the fact the storylines move, move, move!

I'd like to put some fast moves on a shirtless Damon, if you know what I mean.
Wait, did I type that aloud? I don't even watch this show and I have no idea who Damon is.

Finally saw the season premiere. Pretty good! I'm more interested in the Caroline/Taylor/Matt storyline and Jeremy seeing dead people than "who will Elena end up with?"
There was a huge geography issue in this ep: the Tennessee location was implied to be near Memphis, in the southwest corner of the state. Mystic Falls is supposedly in the Virginia mountains, maybe Roanoke area. The distance between the two is 650 miles (thanks, Google!) There is no way that Damon and Ric could have gotten to Memphis and back to Mystic Falls in the space of an afternoon. And for Stephan to do the same in just a couple of hours. The Highway 41 that is mentioned (Allman Bros. shoutout?) is in the center of the state- a good three hours to Memphis.
If they hadn't mentioned Memphis, I could believe the location, but they had to go and be specific!

I'm off Team Damon and firmly in Camp Alaric!
This season has continued to be as fast paced as the first two. The very end of the episode I did not see coming. And they at least got the TN/VA geography right this time.

Once again, they managed to pack into 1 episode enough plot twists for half a season of any other show!

and again!
Since the vampires seem to be semi-technologically savvy, i.e. using cell phones all the time, I can't help but imagine the scene at the store picking one out. Klaus, the uber-vamp who is also a werewolf (don't ask!), asking about service plans and warranties. "Now, how do I text?" Does he just glamor his way around? Does he steal the phones? Is there a charge card for monthly payments? Do you get insurance in case you get staked?
