It's boring from a standpoint of probably no one really wants to root for either team.  But from a pure football standpoint it's a more exciting game than 49ers-Ravens would have been.

Should be a high scoring game, which is always fun to watch. There is a storyline there too.

Plus, the last time they played in a Superbowl it was one of the best finishes of all time. Many of those players are still there.

If there was ever a case to be made for making a deal with the devil... I think Bellicheat's success is it.

So what was 3 quarters of so-so football ended up to be an entertaining game with some last second drama.  Pretty good for not having anything invested in the game.  And there were some good commercials too.

It was a decent enough Super Bowl, but not especially well-played.  Even the final TD was a bit anti-climactic.

Anti-climactic? What do you mean? You mean that the Patriots let him score on purpose, as our whole party were telling them to do? Of course that was anti-climactic. Unless you were being sarcastic, I kinda don't get what you're pointing out.

The Patriots were in the position of either letting them score and then have a full minute of clock to work with plus a timeout, or they were going to play defense and try to stop them but if they succeed the Giants kick a field goal and take the lead anyway or if they fail it's same result that happened, but with no time on the clock which allows for zero chance of marching down the field and scoring. It was the right anti-climactic defensive call.

The challenge on Manningham's catch turned out to be crucial as the Pats would have had an extra time out to work with. Or even that safety...crucial as if it hadn't happened then the Pats would have only needed to drive to the 30. Who knows how it would have changed things. In all I'd say it was a fun game and I couldn't be happier with how the game turned out considering I hate both team and wanted both of them to lose.

I got an email from Phillip Rivers and he asked me to post this:

"Fuck Eli Manning!"
