Barcelona...they just do the math, when I watch them play things line up in my brain and everything in the world makes sense.

When I was young I never got into competition. Too many fights, and I was a squirt to begin with.
I always followed the Reds because I guess I thought it was, like, part of the woodwork or something. I mean, it was always on the radio or TV every summer growing up. So, watching baseball was okay, even though I didn't too much like participation in any sport. Pick up games, maybe, but organized sports coaches scared the heck outta me. Barking dogs, the lot of 'em. Grew up, started drinking, and realized watching sports was a good excuse to be a drunk couch potato. Started following more stuff and going to games other than Reds' games.

UC/Xavier basketball. Like Foolsgold, I prefer X when they play each other. NBA doesn't exist for me since the Royals moved out of town.
Bengals.
Reds of course.

Can't be arsed to give much of a damn about the non-gridiron football nor NHL. As a matter of fact I've lost almost all interest in televised sports lately, and stopped going to Reds' games after one too many strikes. The split season of '81 when the Reds had the best overall record in their division all year but finished second both halves to different teams did it for me. Then they struck again in the 90s. Goodbye.
I also had Bengals' season tickets for three years. Quit going after THEIR strike. Plus, I just didn't like the obnoxious fans, visiting or home. A little too, I dunno, alpha, I guess? Watched games for a few more years until it became apparent Mike Brown was a cheap bastard.
I reckon I'll still watch stuff when there's absolutely nothing else to do.

English Soccer: Peterborough United... hehehe for those not in the know... I got with Rafe a couple of years ago on picking some team that was decently good in the distant past, but hadn't been living up to their potential in the present.  I would learn a few cheap facts, a couple of really old names, a couple of random slogans to toss out there and I could fake being a fan of a sport that I have absolutely no interest in.  They could be "my team" and no one would really question it because this team wouldn't have any bandwagon American fans, so I had to be HARDCORE!  I picked Butter's team entirely because of the "Posh" nickname and the colors.  The first people I tried my new fake fan-dom on?  Here.  FAIL!
If it makes you feel any better, I really enjoyed this exercise. It was quite humorous.

Baseball:  MLB died to me with the lost WS of 1997.  Screw you, MLB.

I agree. It was a shame when the Marlins beat the Indians when we were 4 outs away from a World Series title. Ahhhhh.... the lost WS of 1997. So sad.

All US College Sports, particularly ice hockey -- Miami University RedHawks (gee, there's a surprise)

I also follow the Cincinnati Reds (although not nearly as enthusiastically as I follow the RedHawks)
