never thought i would love this album when i first heard it, it seemed like it might be a little too slow for me.....but that proved untrue, nothing stays slow for too long. it was another early release that has hung around all year and is vying for the top spot. just so lush but with a little tooth when need be. and it all hinges on the melodies, in even the lesser songs they lift and fall with utter purpose. just a very distinct album that you should hear if you haven't yet. plus the cover is very cool.

It was the album I was most looking forward to going into 2011, as the title track was my favorite song of 2010. I was initially modestly disappointed, but it's grown on me and is vying for a spot at the top of my list.

Certainly one of the most underrated albums of the year. It resonated with me the first time I heard it.
