That was intense...and wow can Colin Hanks act. I nearly gave up until the twist...to think I would have missed that ending if I had.

So I wonder when Dexter will find the box on top of his refrigerator of the Ice Truck killer's mannequin hand.

I was thinking about that last night. Surely the hand, and Louis, will be part of next season.
Deb walking in just as Dexter was killing Travis was so unexpected!

Oh yes, definitely think Louis will be a big part of next season. I kind of wonder if Batista's sister will be the first victim. My sister was telling me that she and her husband were wondering where Louis came from because they didn't remember him at all so they went back and rewatched the first few episodes and sure enough, he wasn't in the training class at all so he definitely rigged it so he would get in the office somehow (or it is a plot hole and with this show, could definitely be that).

The writers set up the reveal pretty well and markus and I knew Deb was going to find Dexter at the church (I mean she was going to look for Dex at the church) but I was so sure the writers would have it so that Dex got away again without Deb seeing him (see end of last season). I was really hoping Deb would find out this season (considering that in the books she knew from the end of the first book) so I am glad that it finally happened. Should provide for some good drama that first ep back. They better not do a "six months later" transition thing sort of like how this season started.

I don't think that there is any other way to start next season except picking up with Deb seeing Dexter for what he is, no way......
Most interesting will be her reaction to it (condone it, be repulsed, etc). It will obviously explain a lot of things to her.
