Top 10 Indie Coffee Shops
I know several of my friends back home swear by it, a few call it so "unbearably hipster-ridden" they feel too dirty to even go there and one girl who is angry about what's not (fake coffee drinks) on their menu.
Regardless, it's local + independent + getting some national press. Good for them.

I dare you to walk 2 blocks in any direction without getting mugged, propositioned, beaten, or panhandled.

The scariest night of my life was a matter of blocks from there. Me and a buddy went to see Siouxsie/My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult at Memorial Hall and got there entirely too early. We had skipped dinner and went to find some food. A friend told us that the Trolley Stop was within walking distance. We walked South several blocks toward the Oregon District and wound up being chased by some guys trying to mug us. Thankfully, we were faster than they were and did not get mugged, but that is the fastest I've ever run, most frantic I've ever been and it *felt like* the longest run I've ever done in my life.
We got a po-po escort back to the concert.
As a sidenote and WOXY connection... Julie Maxwell laughed at me so hard when I told her that story that she snuck me up to the front row during Siouxsie.

Art is impossible to define. Shitty art is not.
