Besides my daughter's cheer competitions I've not attended any sporting events in 2012. I do however have tickets for the Brewers home opener vs. the Cardinals. I'm predicting the Brewers will go wire-to-wire in defending the NL Central championship!!!

Games seen in-person (Away - Home)
1. 3/10 - Houston Rockets 112 -106 New Jersey Nets

I got to meet Deron Williams. He was more impressive than I imagined, and hell...when will I ever be that close to an Olympian again? Also - Kevin McHale is still badass and Luis Scola is huge.

GO CAVS!

Actually, I thought Kyrie Irving wasn't all that impressive for most of the game. Then in the 4th Quarter he looked like the guy I'd read so much about. Tristan Thompson looked better than I expected in the 1st half considering that I'd read so little about him. He kind of disappeared in the 2nd half, though. The rest of the Cavs are stiffs, old veterans just playing out their contracts, or basic and uninteresting role players. Nothing against Samardo Samuels or Alonzo Gee (actually, Gee had a couple of very impressive plays) but they aren't very notable. I give them credit for making it into the NBA and getting playing time but clearly they will never be the reason our team wins a game. And a whole team like that?

Not very promising.
