1. Reading at Elementary School - 01/11/12 - 30 minutes - My normal kid was not at school today. However, his teacher said it would be OK if I read with a different student in her class. He was SERIOUSLY into video games and walked around in rain boots that were about 2 sizes too big for him. Poor thing kept getting yelled at by teachers and librarians, being told to pick up his feet when he walked.

3. Reading at Elementary School - 01/18/12 - 30 minutes - It's official. My kid moved. BOOOOOOOO. The little boy I read with last week is my new kid. I think he will be a challenge. He interrupts every book to tell me about Pokemon, playing video games, and other "interesting" things. But, I think he's mostly just happy to have the attention. Hopefully we'll work out a good rhythm as a reading team.

I hope that a week of "sitting on the dog" at home will help her learn how she should behave while she is next to a chair with her human.
