Good draft everyone.

Here is how the voting works.

Post your top 3 in the thread, preferably in the following format:

1. First Place
2. Second Place
3. Third Place

First Place gets 5 points
Second Place gets 3 points
Third Place gets 1 point

Voting ends on Friday morning at 8 AM

After voting is concluded, then a winner shall be declared, and much rep will be gained.

Feel free to construct or deconstruct each person's draft as much or as little as you like.

Ready, GO!

I'm going to get my vote in before the week begins.  Bravo to the whole gang - all are great lists (you seriously made this difficult)!

1. va_vacious
What can I say, you had me at "Sixteen Candles" - and with that, it threw you over the top.  Smiley

2. Atzend
You list is probably closest to my movie tastes with selections like "Exit Through The Gift Shop", "Blues Brothers" and "Rushmore".

3. trixi
Could totally go for seeing this entire list in one mega movie-watching weekend.  Love it!

You can see how we voted last time here. There's no set method - gut reaction is fine or you can use an involved analysis of each selection and the round in which it was taken. It's just not good form to vote for yourself.  Grin

I used a fuzzy, slightly arbitrary points system, along with gut instinct, to figure out my top 3.

PS: For Atzend, RUSHMORE was the Coming of Age pick, not Comedy.

So, seriously we can't get more than 5 votes?  Not even votes from all the people who were in it (well, those who are ambulatory)?

It's not super-hard, I don't think.  These folks spent a lot of time on this, and created some darn good lists, in my opinion.  I spent a good while (close to 30 minutes) looking at it just to come up with my vote, which was frankly the least I could do considering that they probably spent a fair bit longer actually coming up with these themselves.  Granted, I didn't go into the detail I have in the past as far as scoring each pick because I didn't have the time.  But I don't think it's ridiculous to ask you to carve out 5 minutes to say "these 3 are the best lists, in this order" even if people can't come up with great reasons for it.

Sorry, I don't mean to go off on people but the voting turnout pretty much SUCKS so far, so I feel like something needs to be said.  I may increase the voting period to give more time if we get some more people in here this afternoon and tomorrow.

But good job to those of you who were in it, I think there were a lot of great choices made... some that I probably wouldn't even have considered.
