Anti-FABO 2012

Anti-FABO- After sending out what seems like a million resumes (it's more like 20-30), I have an interview! Finally! I'm not 100% on the job- it's outside of Chicago, which is very far from family- but I'm so happy that I have finally sparked some interest in me. Woot!

I'll come visit. 8-) Who's it with? Quick flights via Southwest makes for easy family visits

Thanks, y'all.
It's with a large environmental and cultural preservation district north of Chicago (It's almost equidistant between Chicago and the Wisconsin state line). Really far north, and I'm notorious for being cold.
However, the job is something I'm interested in doing, and it's along my current career path.
And Southwest does fly from Chicago to the places I want to go, which helps!

Whooo, good luck!
My Anti-FABO is that as of Monday, I am no longer unemployed and/or a temporary worker. The place I've been temping since August hired me on full time. It's in academia, so I'm happy about that. Wish it had been at the school I attend, but I am still shaking my head in awe of how lucky I am to have landed this. To all those still looking, many good vibes to you.

All the best to you, L! That's great.
In my own little bit of news, the job that I had been waiting to open for months and months and months... finally opened. I just had a 2nd interview and it went extremely well. I'm really hoping this works out because this is the job I've wanted for many years (even when I was at my old pre-layoff job a couple of years ago, my plan was to try and get this job eventually) and he finally retired.
