I liked the first one, but not enough to go see this one in the theatre. A buddy I work with said it sucks, but I don't usually rely too heavily on others' opinions when it comes to movies. I'll see it when it comes out on DVD.

Right on Marlowe.  I just hate the way she has to  ride James Brolin's coattails.

let's not forget the many contributions made by his son josh brolin, most notably brandon in 'the goonies'. i think that pretty much puts both his dad and his step-mom to shame. i mean, c'mon, it's the goonies!

in my book, josh brolin's claim to fame is thrashin' (now available on dvd).  c'mon, the red hot chili peppers were in it!

We saw this tonight. I thought it was great! It was very funny and Streisand was surprisingly  good!

Saw it tonight. I enjoyed it quite a bit. There were some "cringe-worthy" comedic moments, but that's the kind of comedy I like.

I'm sure I'll be getting the DVD when it comes out.

And I have to agree with what everyone else has said about Streisand's performance. Although let's not shortchange Dustin Hoffman. I thought he did very well, too.

Dustin did a great job, I guess I'm more surprised at Streisand not being horrible. I really am not a fan of hers.

I didn't like the first half all that much, but the second half was much better.

And to their credit, I totally bought Streisand and Hoffman as Stiller's 2 parents.  They were the best part of the movie.

I don't think I'll see it.  I found the first one unbelievably tedious.

Yeah, I figured.  I have a hard time with movies where it's basically just one person being baraged with bad luck, and pratfall after pratfall each more ridiculous than the last.  Unless it's "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" or something.  I mean really, how much bad or unbelievable shit can happen to one person of the course that these movies are supposed to run?

I know the comedy is in the outlandishness, and the lengths of ridiculously cruel fate that happen to these people, but I just find it tedious.

Besides, I really hate Ben Stiller.  He can eat all of my undigested corn and peanuts.

Saw it last weekend and really liked it, even better than the first one. And yes, Dustin Hoffman and Babs did a swell job.
