BTW, I was thinking last weekend that it's pretty amazing "We Built This City" scored the number-one slot on Blender's list. Is it really worse than "Disco Duck" and "You're Having My Baby?"
This has prompted me to do my own Worst Songs Ever list. Rafe, if you're out there, are you interested in another go at an intercontinental list comparison?

Yeah, "We Built This City" wouldn't be anywhere near my top (bottom) 50 either.
Still, at some point it becomes hard to list a good set of criteria to use in judging. I mean, here's the thing: these are still professional musicians. All of the singing on is on key, all the instruments are played at a professional level, the mix is good, etc. It beats the living crap out of anything ever done by say, William Hung or The Shaggs.
There has to be something to go by besides sheer unlistenability.

I made my own sad attempt at duplicating this feat this morning. I got myself "It's A Fast Driving Rave Up With The Dandy Warhols Sixteen Minutes" plus the Prelude and Finale for a 22 minute music-fest.
I couldn't get past three listens. It started making me all shaky and stuff. Rva, you are amazing.

I'd hope that the citizens of a city built on rock n' roll would know the difference between "I love you" and Dio hands.

If I was your girlfriend would you let me dress you? Not that you're helpless but sometimes those are the things that being in love's about.

Of course, duh. That's what I let my current girl do. In fact I hear she's writing an article about this.
