Pants.

Nothing but Spiderpants.

I can't believe the positive reviews this is getting everywhere. I saw it at the AMC in Newport yesterday and felt it was terribly contrived crapola. The CGI stuff was okay, but the script was loserpalooza.

Nice rerun of Kirsten's stiff-nipple-shot though. That was good.

I'll probably see it this weekend.

I wouldn't go as far as "pants," but I'm [kinda] with you. I wasn't as wowed as I wanted to be.

And yeah, I forgot to mention in my mini-review on that other board that we got another nip shot from Kirsten. Didn't really bother me so much, but it sure did seem exploitative.

I was bored in the beginning (my husband, who is a HUGE fan of the first one disagrees with me) of the movie. Once it got going, it was pretty good. The special effects with Doc Oc were pretty damn cool but lordie it seemed like it took forever to get to the good stuff.

Yeah, I thought it was kind of slow at times too. Peter Parker is such a wuss I want to smack the hell out of him sometimes. But, that's the character. Liked the special effects, liked the movie about as much as the first. Not a movie I'll buy, but I'll go see the next one.

And boy am I slowly getting a crush for Kirsten Dunst!

Dude, I know. You could hear people saying "d'oh! what the hell is he doing?" during his "I love you, no--wait, I don't" scenes.

I could not watch the scene in the operating room though..they didn't even really gore it up like they could've, but I hid my face during it.

I loved this movie. It digs deep into the unappreciated kicked around side of Peter Parker that makes his character more human than other superheroes.  It also shows the indecision he holds for being Spiderman.  Most other heroes show no weakness and no doubt in their abilties.  They lead perfect lives, have no fear, and never doubt the reasons that they  are fighting crime.  Superman = pride, ego; Batman = vengeance; Spiderman = guilt, and guilt is something that everyone can relate to.

Also, it really builds toward the third and final installment when Harry Osbourne finds what he finds and sees what he sees. (Information left out for anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet, but plans to). It follows Stan Lee's vision fairly well. Sam Raimi is the best.
