Did anybody catch this show last night at the Southgate House, 7/7/04??

I was there...pretty good show...just a downright fun time if you ask me.

The opener, I believe Charlie Mars, pretty good set as well, although there were a lot of people talking during it.

That's the annoying thing about SGH.  Nobody actually likes to pay attention to what's happening on the stage.  Actually, it's a major annoyance of mine at all smaller places.

I agree--but especially when the warm-up act is really good, like Mars was. I wanted to put them in my Old 97s concert review (see music section) but didn't have enough space. It was an excellent show...and I'm glad we didn't have to go too far to see them. Lookin forward to their new CD next week.

I'm still excited about this, but an a little less excited.  I really want to see Those Darlins, and I would absolutely love to see Caitlin Rose, but she doesn't join until the next night.  It's like the concert gods enjoy pissing me off.

Everybody raves about their live shows.  We saw them once and they bored us stupid.  Maybe we just caught them on an off night.

blistering set, fun show last night @ the 20th century. got there early ,the o's were on already. rhett did some solo stuff and then the band came on loud and fast. all my favorite songs done live and well. still getting used to this venue, i think the sound person is deaf, the music between sets was too loud to talk over. i had a good time
