“I just can't wait until Disney makes a movie out of The Great Movie Ride. That one will be worthy of some Charlie Kaufman screenwriting.”

It was kinda fluff, so it doesn't really warrant a deep review.  It was cute and funny at times, so if you like that sort of thing and aren't tremendously annoyed by Will Smith scenery chewing, then you'll probably like it.

We caught kingdom of heaven the other night, it wasn't terrible. Had some really great moments in it and some moments that were so/so. Steve was disappointed in the small role Liam Neeson had as he liked his character. We liked it, but I'm glad we didn't pay to see it in the theatre.

We rented "The Notebook" this week.  Yes, I got suckered into watching a sappy chick-flick.  But the Rachel McAdams character really is quite likeable and I can totally understand why she's getting all these good-girl roles now.  She's hot.  I liked watching her.

Oh yeah, the movie wasn't terrible, either.  I liked it more than I thought I would.  I'm not saying it was great...as the box says, it's a basic story that's well told.

We rented 2046 last night.  I don't know if it was good because we were so bored that we stopped watching it an hour into it.  What does that say?

It was artistically done and interesting from that aspect.  The director really liked the shot with the people on the side of the screen, which was cool at first but got tiring after a while.  He also liked to only show part of what he was really showing.  Watching them make out but only seeing their feet, or showing them walking down the hall but only showing some of the hall.  It gave a real sense of being enclosed and that we couldn't see all of what was going on.

But there wasn't anything going on.  So we got bored.  I rarely stop watching a movie.  I couldn't believe that I did it this time.  Which says that much more about the film.
