This is actually coming to Richmond, to the one semi-arty movie house in town.  Think I'm gonna try and catch it.

I heard about him doing this awhile ago
It seems pretty interesting
I don't know why people would stop eating McDonald's because of it though.

I want to see this too, but I haven't heard if it's coming to the Neon. Read an article on it somewhere and it looks really good.

I have mixed feelings about this movie.  I want to see it, in the same way I want to see a train wreck.  But, his methods and plan represent irresponsible docu-journalism.

Yeah, it reminds me of a Michael Moore style doc in the sense that the filmmaker is always appears to be right in the way it's presented.  That being said, like any Michael Moore movie, I want to see it.

I seemed kind of interested in it, until I read the posts from the people on IMDB talking about the movie.  If the film maker is some guy who thinks like his followers seem to, I have no interest in it.

I'll give it a go.  I'll watch it like I would any other documentary...with a grain of salt.

Yeah, it's definitely Michael Moore-esque.  But at least the guy really did it and it seems to focus on his thoughts rather than Moore's cut-together somewhat staged approach.  Or I could be wrong.

Does he go to McDonald's HQ and ask them to remove the beef from his colon?

It's less than MIchael Moore quality.

While the concept is interesting, the actual follow-through is deceptive, manipulative, and tacky as a stereotypical teen drama.

You'll have more fun at the teen drama, trust me.

There is another writer who took the McD's challenge but ate "responsibly" off the menu.  He actually lost weight, but his cholesterol went nuts.  It's a good contrast if I can find the link.

this is playing a few towns away, I'm hoping to catch it soon.
I read an interview with Morgan Spurlock, and its really interesting how people take his film totally out of context and bash the hell out of it. of course this isn't a accurate representation of how this society eats, but it gives you an idea of how unhealthy this crap really is.
plus, I just finished reading the McDonaldization of Society, which has a lot of ties to this film, and has gotten me very interested in how well companies pull the wool over the publics eyes.
