Post by: euro60 on May 17, 2013, 11:54:33 AM
These guys apparently are still around! I thought their 2009 album was pretty darn good, I just played it again the other day.

From Billboard:

Indie rockers Franz Ferdinand have announced the release of their fourth studio album. “Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action” will be released on August 27 on Domino.

A statement announced there were "a few interesting collaborations, but more of that later..." Here's the album art:

This is the Scottish band’s first album since 2009’s “Tonight,” which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. Their biggest single remains their 2004 smash hit "Take Me Out," which peaked at No. 3 on Rock Songs and No. 66 on the Hot 100.

The physical copies of the album will be accompanied by a bonus disc containing a live studio recording called “Right Notes, Right Words, Wrong Order.” Domino will also release a limited edition deluxe “Passport Edition” with both CD and vinyl copies of the album and exclusive tracks and content.

The Grammy-nominated band recorded the album all across Europe in Scotland, London, Stockholm and Oslo.

Track list:
1. Right Action

2. Evil Eye

3. Love Illumination
4. Stand On The Horizon

5. Fresh Strawberries
6. Bullet
7. Treason! Animals.
8. The Universe Expanded

9. Brief Encounters

10. Goodbye Lovers & Friends
