Welcome to the wonderful world of Hamilton County emergency management. Their protocol is to let the sirens go if there is a severe thunderstorm warning while a tornado watch is in effect, not just when there is a tornado.

Whomever devised that protocol for Hamilton County needs a swift kick in the nuts too.

Is it bad that I didn't hear the sirens when they went off the first time this morning (I was in the shower)?

Butter, do you like working downtown better than working in Tri-County?

We should meet up for lunch sometime. Sometime when it isn't pissing with rain.

Definitely not.  It's a good 20 miles further to get down here.  Plus, the traffic is horrific if you come anywhere near peak rush hour times.

My schedule is usually pretty fluid... meaning I don't know when I'll be down here from day to day.  Let me know when you are available, and I'm sure we can get together.

Let me know if and when you do this lunch thing and wouldn't mind a tag-a-long.

I can usually get away for lunch Wed-Fri and can go anytime I like. Mon & Tues are very busy because I am on deadline so most of the time I don't take a lunch those days.

I'll meet up with you too, since I'm only a block away from you.  And now I know I wasn't going crazy when I swore that you were walking past LeBoxx one day.  I kept thinking to myself as I watched you, that if it is not Butter it sure is his body double!

Wow!! Le Boxx is still there?  That was my favorite downtown lunch spot when I worked downtown!  And the last time I worked downtown was 11 years ago!  Of course, I wasn't a vegetarian then.

Also, the Mandarin Chinese place on Court Street behind AAA (where I worked).  Is that place still there?  I loved that place.  And they always had soap operas on their TV at lunchtime, so I could go eat and watch the soaps!  Ahhhh, the days of 1 hour lunches.  Now I just sit sadly at my desk, eating my food and staring at my monitor.

That restaurant is now a Thai place.  I think it switched 4-5 years ago.
