Caught THE CONCERT IN CENTRAL PARK on PBS this weekend.
Garfunkel quota fulfilled for the R-Ville Boards.
I think we were due a sighting in order to update or at least sustain our Garfunkel membership.

Nope. I just time jumped into the future (now) to post this.
Have fun living in your boring, linear timeline.

Oh really? Well, riddle me this then:

Pollstar 05:30 PM Tuesday 8/11/15

Art Garfunkel has been busy this year, playing the U.S., Korea, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and Denmark. But he’s got more places to hit up in the U.S., following a previously announced trip to the U.K. in September.

The setlist features Simon & Garfunkel songs, solo material, tunes from his favorite songwriters – Paul Simon, as well as Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman and Antonio Carlos Jobim – and selections from his forthcoming autobiography.

“I do a 90-minute show, where I mix songs and read poetic bits from my autobiography,” Garfunkel says. “I write about my life in show business, my woman, crossing the U.S. and Europe on foot, the mystery of it all. The act of reading these things, and the inflections and pauses, seems to me like singing. You learn to phrase with poignancy.”

The new U.S. dates includes a hometown show in New York City at Carnegie Hall that’s being called “At Last.” Here’s the routing:

Aug. 28 – Atlantic City, N.J., Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa / Music Box
Oct. 3 – New York, N.Y., Carnegie Hall
Oct. 9 – Toms River, N.J., Jay And Linda Grunin Center For The Arts
Oct. 10 – Morristown, N.J., Mayo Performing Arts Center
Oct. 23 – Geneva, N.Y., Smith Opera House
Oct. 24 – Albany, N.Y., Empire State Plaza Conv. Ctr.
Nov. 7 – Indio, Calif., Fantasy Springs Resort Casino & Special Events Ctr.
Nov. 8 – Los Angeles, Calif., The Wiltern
Nov. 14 – Great Barrington, Mass., Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center
Nov. 15 – Boston, Mass., The Wilbur
Nov. 16 – Cotuit, Mass., Center For the Arts

Who doesn't want to hear 'poetic bits' about Art Garfunkel's woman?

I honestly had no idea that Art and Penny Marshall dated for like 5 years.

Also, why is "RANDOM GARFUNKEL" now a "child board" of ART? He still deserves his own board or whatever.

Saw Paul Simon on Later with Jools Holland recently.  I hypothesize that the degree to which Garfunkel is needed to help Simon pull off Simon and Garfunkel tunes is directly proportional to Simon's geriatricity (I just made that word up).
