And the champion is...


Unbelievable! He completely dominated Tim Sylvia for five rounds and got the 50-45 decision. Wow!

At least two other awesome fights on the card (Jason Lambert defeating Renato Sobral by knockout and Martin Kampmann choking out Drew McFedries) and a few clunkers. Specifically, Matt Hughes laying on top of Chris Lytle for three rounds for the win. Bleh.

I was shocked as shit about this.  I thought Couture had a chance, but I never thought it would go down like that.  Tim didn't look like himself at all.  He didn't use his reach and size at all and I don't think he threw a single kick.  Of course I don't think it would have matter because Randy just looked unstoppable.

And Chris Lytle impressed the hell out of me.  He certainly isn't ready for the main event, but he held off Matt Hughes on the ground for 3 round, which is pretty damn impressive.  They definitely need to bring him back and let him get some more fights under his belt.  The guy has a huge amount of potential.
