Thanks for all the kind thoughts!
I think it went pretty well - people seemed to like the pics, I got invited back there for the next First Friday (May 4th, for those bad with the maths) and best of all, I sold 2 prints! Of course, it was to friends, but still... people thought that what I captured on film (well, pixels) was worth paying for. And that ain't all bad. The next one will be a bit more "official", with some signs on the door and whatnot. Hopefully a few more people show up this time, but since it wasn't really "advertised" and the weather was kinda shitty, I expect more next time. I was certainly nervous, but I think that the pics sometimes speak better than I do.
I got some good general advice from a woman at the bar that night, so I feel pertty confident getting that first one under my belt. Gotta spread out more, maybe try to get a show closer to home. Gotta start somewhere. I begain to actually start tracking this stuff - costs, mileage, which "number" of print sold, etc... Anyone out there got any advice on that? I figure if I wanna get famous, I wanna do it right, and be professional about it.
Oh, and I'll bring mints next time.
