Well, apparently Jericho has been canceled.  It's not on the schedule and there's some standard stock letter from a CBS VP up on the show's message board.

I guess we'll never know what happens next.

There was a blurb about it getting the axe in one of the articles about cbs' fall schedule too. They laid the blame square at the feet of the hiatus.

Veronica Mars got cut from the CW line-up too.

Yeah, but Veronica Mars had been dead on its feet for about a year now.

The message I read from the CBS exec said that they feel a show should hold an audience even with a long break.  Good luck with that.

He also said not to forget about all of the other great CBS programming that will be coming back, like CSI-Miami.

Oh hells yeah!  CSI-Miami, I've forgotten about Jericho already!

Has it? I never really watched it much, then they moved it to the CW and we couldn't watch it even if we wanted to (we don't have cable). It always seemed like it was one of the really popular ones, like gilmore girls. Guess chatty fans don't always add up to ratings

Guess what else got cancelled?

Oh, I know. GG was one of my sister's favorite shows, she has no idea what to watch on Tuesdays now.

Apparently NBC (which is 4th out of the 5 networks in terms of viewers) has a BIG surprise for their programming this fall which will save them!

Yup, you guessed it...20 1-3 minute commercials for the new Jerry Seinfeld movie!

This is the only new "comedy," albeit unintentionally, NBC has planned for now.

I'm so disappointed that Veronica Mars was canceled. It was appointment tv for me, and I bought the dvds and everything!  :)  It was alot like Buffy: clever dialogue, interesting stories, and of course, eye candy. It's hard to get ratings when they don't promo your show and then bump you for the Pussycat Dolls for 8 weeks. Bitter. Very bitter!

My sadness is that the producers didn't find out about the cancellation early enough to do a proper series wrap-up, so instead we're left with a cliffhanger. That is what really annoys me! I want to know how it ends.

Same thing with Jericho. From the way they "ended" that, it makes me think that nobody told them cancellation was even a remote possibility. A *lot* of loose ends there.

Yeah, not even close to a neat wrap up for Jericho.

I think, after that 400th episode, they can safely put The Simpsons to bed now.

It was, in a word, underwhelming.

Exactly. I'm kinda pissed about that because I figured the show was safe. Had I known, I wouldn't have wasted my time with it.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and say The 4400 isn't coming back either. It's been a looooong time, and I'd imagine even if they come back, they've probably lost the bulk of their audience by now. To be honest, I can't recall how last season ended anyway.

We thought that too.  The 399th episode though, the 24 spoof, was highly amusing.

I don't remember either, but I remember thinking that last season was pretty stupid.  It usually fires up early-mid May.  I'd be surprised if it was canceled, but not upset.

A little poking around proves that it will return for a fourth season: Clicky.

The trailer for "Bionic Woman" (shown during "Heroes") made it look about as exciting as piles. The outcome probably similar.

Good to see "America's Got Knobends" is coming back, with the Hoff, Piers and now Shazza  ::)
