Portishead is curating AND PERFORMING at All Tomorrow's Parties presents: The Nightmare Before Christmas in December. Please please please, someone get me a flight to the UK!!!!  ::)
Berthing/Chalet info.

I'm seriously needing to go to this. So far, the lineup is: Portishead. hahaha.
It's almost worth it for them alone.

I saw Portishead at Southampton Guildhall during one of my trips back to blighty. A firned of mine shared her free tickets with me.

Sadly, it was one of their 'improv' nights where "anything goes"

Worst.gig.ever

I would say half the audience left withion 30 minutes of them starting.

I hope for everybody's sake they've got that self-indulgent esoteric bullshit out of their system and now play what people want to hear.

I note there is a new album in the offing. As many worthy pretenders to their throne as there's been in the interim, I wonder if they can pull something special out of their Bristolian arses?

These Holiday Camp weekenders are becoming more and more popular in the UK

Hard to say about the new record.  Wasn't a big fan of the last one, and at this point they need to make another classic like Dummy for people to start caring, again.
