I dunno, if a nine-year old can create an app for the iphone, what's the excuse for woxy not to have one?  The crappy terrestrial radio stations in my neck of the woods all have one.

It just seems stupid to me why I'd need an app for every single station I might want to listen to.  It's like on your computer, you use winamp or itunes or whatever.  You don't have "WOXY player" and "BBC player" and "Personal .mp3 player."  When you surf the 'net you use Safari or IE or Mozilla.  You don't have like "WOXY website browser," "CNN web browser" etc.

One player that plays streaming media.  Enter a url and you're done.  If you want to create a shortcut to get to WOXY faster, or a plugin for that app that takes advantage of some non-streaming data available from WOXY, okay.  But not a separate app.

It's also really stupid that you had to jailbreak an "all-in-one-device" like the iphone to play streaming media on it in the first place.  wtf?  My Palm treo from four years ago played streaming media.

My understanding of the article was that the app wasn't WOXY specific....

I don't think we have any filters at all.  I could surf porn sites if I wanted.  I mean, I'd get fired and all but I'm just saying I'm not blocked.

We're definitely not blocked on anything- I do some legitimately strange searches and have gotten into places that I had no desire to be, quite innocently and accidentally! (I work at a museum)
Example: We were doing an exhibit on medicine, and I was looking for a play doctor's kit.  Top search on google took me to a fetish site! (dr.'s kit got me pages and pages of the real thing)
