Not RHCP related, but another pointless lawsuit...

"Rock band The Romantics have filed suit against Harmonix, RedOctane and Wavegroup Sound for the cover version of "What I Like About You", included in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, reports Billboard. The suit claims that the re-recording of the group's 1980 hit is "virtually indistinguishable from the authentic version" and that consumers may become confused into believing the original recording was used. This would, I assume, lead to many disoriented gamers who might simply go mad from attempting to process the information and cause injury."

Well they could omit that piece of crap from Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's and it'd make the game more desirable. ;)

Man, every day it's getting harder and harder to keep holding on as a fan. Californication was a great album, but BSSM was BY FAR their best. I just can't believe they would agree to do this. I'll bet Chad Smith said "Whatever, I'll be at the nudie bar" though.

And God Bless Weird Al.

They really could have hit a home run on that last album by taking disc 2 out and playing frisbee golf with it. The first disc was really good. I just don't understand what's up with them. Probably at least 13 years away from playing a state fair though still.....

Watching a UK documentary of Stiff Records last night reminded me that there used to be a - signed-to-a-major-label - London pub rock band called Chilli Willi & the Red Hot Peppers.

I think someone ought to have a quiet word with their lawyers.

Dunno what I spend more money on: golf discs or compact discs.
I could prolly use that 2nd disc as a putter...

RHCP just suck.  Plain and simple.  This lawsuit has nothing to do with it.  They just suck.
