20. Dream a Little Dream of Me: The Life of Cass Elliot, Eddi Fiegel
21. Playground: A Childhood Lost Inside the Playboy Mansion, Jennifer Saginor
22. Band Fags!, Frank Anthony Polito

23. His Bright Light: The Story of Nick Traina, Danielle Steel

The only Steel book I've ever been interested in reading, and it took me years to find a cheap used copy. A heart-breaking account of Steel's son's battle with manic depression, ultimately resulting in his suicide at age 19 in 1997. If someone with the financial resources and celebrity of Steel couldn't find adequate psychological care for her son (at least in the 1990s), how the hell do "regular" people help their children and/or other loved ones?

Rupes pulls off the best showbiz memoir since David Niven's "The Moon's a Balloon". Laugh out loud memories about being pals with Madonna, but balanced with just enough sad tales to occasionally question your page-turning enthusiasm
