Sonny learned earlier this week that Dominic was an undercover cop after telling him last week he'd like to turn the "business" over to him some day. He called him to his office and confronted him. Dominic pulled out his badge and stated that Sonny was under arrest. Sonny pulled a gun and said his body would never be found. Dominic explained why he hated Sonny (he'd had a police officer in their neighborhood in Brooklyn, who helped Dominic out when he was growing, killed), and then Sonny shot him in the chest. Olivia (Dominic's mom) burst in, screamed as she dropped to her son's body, and turned to Sonny saying "You shot your son". All of which was happening during Jocelyn's christening, where Jason and LuLu were serving as her godparents.

(The audience knew Dominic was Sonny's son, but neither Dominic or Sonny knew.)

So, what will Sonny's reaction be and is Dominic going to live?!

(For anyone who watched BSG, Dominic is portrayed by the same actor who played Jammer. I have a bit of a crush on him.)

Dang- they are moving story lines pretty quickly, aren't they?
And how soap-y, indeed!

Lately, I have been strangely drawn in by lunchtime repeats of old episodes of "Las Vegas" starring James Caan and a bunch of supposedly 'hot' women

So how many other folks are watching reruns of Soul Train on the Centric channel?

BEING ERICA on SoapNet. I KNOW!!! But, it's good. It's not actually their original programming. It was originally aired in Canada. So far, I'm loving it! I guess it helps that the girl is near my age and I can relate to the whole "bad choices" thing to some degree. It's complete fluff...but, I'm enjoying it. Especially when I can discuss the clothes and hair and music with my best friend since the 8th grade.

You know... I'm a time-travel junkie.  I also really liked Wonderfalls when I found it like 4 years too late.   The same dude is in Being Erica.  I caught a clip on Hulu thanks to another online friend who knew I liked WF and that I love quirky time-travel stuff.  Then I remember seeing the name somewhere and found this post.  In the last 2 weeks I have caught up completely on the series and I really like it.

It's a little too girly for me on occasion, but I love the nostalgia as she's basically my age (I think 2-3 years younger?) and heads back to eras where she sees a lot of the same stuff I experienced.  The best part is that since she's Canadian, the 2-3 year age gap means that we're basically the same age.  Several years ago, I dated a girl from Toronto who was 3 years younger and we lived parallel childhoods because all the fads, trends and everything took just a WEE BIT longer to reach her up there back then.  I get that same vibe from this show.

The soundtrack alone is worthy of note.  Bear in mind that I love Canadian girls, but there is a nice mix in there.

I really dug the "Worst Cooks in America" on Food network.  Mostly because I think Anne Burrell rocks though.

I love her too! I even quote her like once a week. "Brown food tastes gooooood!"
However, I could NOT dig on the Worst Cooks show.

I actually got The Greg watching Southland with me and he loves it as well. We didn't watch last night because we had storms, but we've watched every week so far. GOOD STUFF. Not great, but good.

SOUTHLAND is back for its 5th season. It's now on TNT on Wednesday nights. PLEASE WATCH IT. It went from good to great and remains consistently great.

I love this trend of cable networks rescuing shows that the networks discard willy nilly.  So many of my all time favorite shows were cancelled well before they had a chance to get their legs under them.  I hope this is a trend for the future.

Speaking of, we still need to netflix that last season of Damages.  I need to know what happens to Patty Hughes.
