I don't get how that's lazy.  That was the whole point of his trip around the country was to attract anybody left alive to come to Tucson.  Now they are showing up, but it's not going the way he wants it to because he's a putz (courtesy c-lando).  I thought that was the whole point of the show.

I don't know if I'd say lazy, but I would say that anything about the show that might have interested me has been lost.

To me it's really just a generic sitcom now.   They are not in the slightest bit realistic.  Not just given the "everyone on Earth died" situation but even as characters at all.  They're just whacky, exaggerated faces to spew one-liners.

If you enjoy the characters enough, then it's fine.  I just don't enjoy most of the characters.

God Hibbing 911 was such a freaking awesome episode. Their one offs are usually so good.

From everything I've read, life on set is pretty fricking sweet--everyone has fun together and genuinely likes being there--they probably don't want it to end.

Hibbing 911 was one of my favorites of the season.

I've watched some of the behind the scenes stuff, and it really does seem like a good time. I think it's interesting that in interviews Padelecki seems to take the lead more than Ackles, and on the show, it's the reverse with their characters (Dean leads more than Sam, I think).

I would like more Misha Collins this season, but badass Cas, not wimpy Cas!

the spinoff died before it got started. They had the backdoor pilot, but that was so god awful they killed the spin off.

I definitely still like it, I just don't want it to be one of those shows that sticks around until it is just terrible and they ruin they own legacy.

The end of MAD MEN may break me.
...especially with the end of DAVE in the same week.
I feel weepy.

I'm attempting to watch the Red Nose Day show on NBC, and it is not funny. At all. Bad editing, really really dumb jokes. Stupid skits. I think I will go back to watching O Brother on HBO.

Has anyone been watching Mr Robot?

I made it through 2 eps.  Been DVR'ing the rest.  I won't say it's bad, but I just can't get into it.  Not really sure why, but my feeling is perhaps too much inner monologue, and not enough action.

I've got them all downloaded but haven't had time to watch them yet. Everything I have heard is really good though.

Anyone watching Humans? Since I am downloading it, I am on the UK schedule which is a couple weeks ahead of AMC. So far it has been really good. They are doing a lot with the concept of AI and what it would mean to have truly sentient robots. I'm digging it.

Humans is AWESOME! Kind of helps that I recently finished watching all seven seasons of The Next Generation, so sentient AI and the moral dilemmas that it poses are at the forefront of my mind right now.

I think it's great, seems to have all the best elements of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Matrix and Fight Club. At least, in my opinion re: Fight Club - my colleague and I disagree about whether certain events/characters are real or not, since Elliott is such an unreliable narrator.

Shows still in the queue

Things I'm not missing
Paying for more than basic cable (I have kept the $19/month service since I have terrible reception for our PBS station)

Jessie is awful. A really terrible show.

I was also exposed to DinoTrux- dinosaurs that are also trucks!- and that was much better than the dino show in which people transform into dinosaurs. The state of children's television is awful!

I don't know about that.  I'll agree that it's mostly awful.  There are a lot of really good shows for little kids:  Odd Squad, Peg + Cat, Dinosaur Train, etc. but that's mostly confined to PBS.  The stuff on Nickelodeon is pretty terrible.  Disney has some good entertainment type kids shows like Teen Titans Go, but I'm still mourning the loss of Phineas and Ferb.

As far as the tween stuff... blargh, nothing good anymore.  I miss iCarly; Sam and Cat was not a good replacement.
