Quote
1 Jaff Kalis - I Want to Take You Higher: The Life and Times of Sly and the Family Stone
2 Vicki Myron - Dewey - The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World
adding
3 Hugo Wilcken - 33 1/3: David Bowie's "Low"
Always been intrigued by these pocketbook 33 1/3 tomes and MK snagged me a couple for Crassmess. This one is perhaps a lousy 'introduction' to the series. The author is artistically so far up his own and Bowie's arse, his literary illusions about how the thin white duke recorded the first of his "Berlin Trilogy" albums becomes boring and distractive. Wilcken is far better transcribing the facts about Bowie's (& Iggy's) drug-fullled few months working "minutes from the Wall" than he is trying to always faux-intellectually second guess David's influences.

You'd THINK so, and that's what I remembered, but not actually.  A gang of runaways lives in the store.  It's like some big allegory about society.  Like animal farm in a mall for kids.

Yes, they could become sort of mannequin-like when necessary, and they all wore costumes/clothing particular to one department or display for this purpose.
