I talked to someone today who went to SCPA and they said that the most of the show is apparently being filmed on Saturdays (I assume so it doesn't disrupt the other students too much).  So from that, you can probably take a stab at exactly how scripted it is...

That would also explain why the school looks so empty.

In defense, a lot of activity happens there on Saturdays. Rehearsals and the like. Still doesn't change how manufactured it feels. The dance-off during lunch was way too "Fame" for me.

Haven't seen the show, but I do really like/appreciate how Nick Lachey is supportive of his hometown.  So many other famous people try to make themselves appear like they sprang fully-formed in hollywood.

And in other news, anyone watching Castle?  It's got Nathan Fillion goodness all over it!  It's fun and lightweight, and I'm enjoying it so far.

I've recorded Castle but haven't watched it yet.

I've been watching Castle (haven't watched last nights yet) and it is okay.  I really like Nathan Fillion and think he does a great job with the character, but the show itself seems mediocre at best.

Since they've run through all the previously made episodes of The IT Crowd, IFC is now airing another UK import, Modern Toss, on Tuesday nights (or Wednesday?  Can't remember offhand).

This is one of the most bizarre shows I have ever seen.  I almost turned it off after 2 minutes last week, but I stuck with it.  Look it up on wikipedia if you have time and just read the description on some of the recurring characters... it's vulgar for the sake of it a bit too often for my tastes... but I think I'm going to give it at least another week.

I didn't mean to post SNARF! It was a test. I haven't been able to post all afternoon so I typed "SNARF" as a test and then when it posted, I tried to modify it and got denied again. GRRRRRRRR.

Been a fan of the Modern Toss books and cartoons for quite a while. When I saw the TV show a year or so back it didn't really do it for me at all. Sadly.

Don't forget "Trust Me" (TNT, debuts 1/26) with Tom Cavanagh and Eric McCormack

Or as I like to call it, "Will & Ed".

LOVED the pilot, but I can't remember if I set up a Season Pass or not. OOPS. What day does it air?

Dear ABC - Thank you for pulling something as worthy as "Pushing Daisies" from your schedules and placing something as utterly forced, bland and shit as "The Unusuals" in its place. Because, yes, whilst you can do quirky the RIGHT way, you obviously prefer to do it the fucking obvious - and subsequently uninteresting - way instead.
